DataWise Connector
The engine
A small program on your PC that brings your MYOB information across and keeps it current — automatically, on whatever schedule you choose. Everything else on this site runs on top of it.
What it does
Syncs your MYOB data
Sales, purchases, banking, general ledger, contacts, products and jobs — full documents with line detail, not summaries.
Keeps itself current
Two schedules: a regular top-up through the day and a periodic rebuild, so nothing drifts out of step. How it works →
Answers questions
Ask-your-data is included — the MCP server that lets Claude Code read your database. Ask your data →
It never changes your MYOB file. The sync reads; it does not write. (Posting an invoice is a separate, deliberate action you take.)
The database is on your computer, in a folder you choose. Stop subscribing and the data stays exactly where it is.
We never see your MYOB password. You sign in on MYOB's own screen and can withdraw access from inside MYOB at any time.
Lock a company if you need to — optional password encryption per company file, your choice, off by default.
What it costs
One price per MYOB company file. However many people use it, on however many computers.
NZ$100 + GST
where applicable, per company
file, per month
Everything is in that price — the sync, both
schedules, Ask your data, and every ProActive UI screen. Nothing is metered
and no question is ever charged for.
Stop any time — the data
stays exactly where it is, on your PC, still readable by anything.
If it saves one hour of exporting, pasting and fixing a month, it has paid for itself.
Most businesses were losing that every week.
A three-person office, the laptop on the road and the
accountant's system — still one licence, because the licence lives on the company file
rather than the machine.
Your accountant does not need their own licence to work on
your file, and you do not pay twice.
Your MYOB data. In your own database. And now you can just ask it.
The DataWise Connector copies your MYOB information into a database on your own computer —
automatically, on whatever schedule you choose. Then ask it questions in plain English, work in
ProActive UI screens, or point your own software at it. It is your data.
One payment, one company file. At the end of three months it simply
stops — you choose whether to renew. Nothing is billed automatically.
Your numbers are in MYOB. Getting them out is the hard part.
Endless exporting
Export, open, paste, repeat. Every month, for the same report you built last month.
Reports you can't change
Close to what you wanted, but not quite — and no way to bend it into the shape you actually need.
Data stuck in one place
Your own trading history, and you can only look at it through one window.
So we give you the data itself
Not a report. Not a dashboard someone else designed. A proper database, on your machine,
holding your sales, purchases, ledger, contacts, products, jobs and bank lines — kept up to date on its own.
It's yours
On your PC, in a folder you choose. Stop subscribing and the data stays exactly where it is.
Use anything
Excel, Power BI, Access, your own software — anything that reads a database.
It keeps itself current
Set a schedule and forget it. It runs whether anyone's at the desk or not.
New
And now — just ask it
Because the data sits on your machine in a database you own, you can
point AI straight at it. No report to build. No filters to set.
Who owes me money, and how long has it been outstanding?
You have 3 invoices more than 60 days overdue, totalling $777.25.
The oldest is Harbourside Joinery at 94 days. Two of the three are the same customer — worth one phone
call rather than three.
Put that in a Word document with a chart.
Done — table, chart and a short commentary explaining the trend.
It comes with a written dictionary of your accounting data, so the answers are right —
not merely plausible.
Not everything is a question. Sometimes you just want to look
through your invoices. ProActive UI is the working screens — rebuilt on the data now sitting on your own
machine, and starting with the one everybody opens first.
Use ours
Sales Invoices today, more to follow. Filter it any way you like, keep up to ten invoices parked in
tabs while you look at something else, and drill from any one of them into that customer's whole
history.
Change ours
Bending screens to how a business actually runs is what we have done for 25 years.
Or build your own
It is your database in an open format. Anything that reads it can be your front end — and that costs
you nothing.
